Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.

Our last working day is Friday 19th December 2025 and we will return Monday 5th Jan 2026.

Beddow Tree have purchased another vehicle which will be used for Log and Woodchip deliveries. The vehicle has a crane which will be used to lift and lower the tonne bags from our vehicle in a professional manner.

Beddow Tree are pleased to renew its Arboricultural Association Membership for another year to 01/01/2026.

The Arboricultural Association supports arborists and their  mission is to promote trees & tree care professionals who enable sustainable management.

Beddow Tree are pleased to renew our membership for another year with Rare Breeds Survival Trust (RBST)

 

We were looking at old photos today and came across these from early 2000’s showing our early chipper and vehicle…. compared with our chippers today

 

 

 

Beddow Tree are pleased that we were able to work with Hastings High School (Burbage, Leicestershire) helping them with their green careers day.

The event ‘what’s my job?’ was an activity session attended by Mike Beddow, starting with students trying to guess our industry/job. We prepared a short presentation and then students had the opportunity to ask up to 20 questions with the aim of guessing the role/industry.

We then used this an an opportunity to talk about our industry, making the session informative and at the same time raising awareness of being a tree surgeon. We also saw this an an opportunity to attract new people into the industry in later years.

13/03/2024 Dear Mike, On behalf of Hasting High School, I would like to express our sincere thanks to you for the time you have given us yesterday to deliver ‘What’s my job?’  to our year 9 students.  Your commitment, passion and enthusiasm for your careers has had a significant impact on our students. Your contribution today forms part of our wider careers strategy, through which we are aiming to ensure that our students move on from Hastings High School as successful and confident young adults.  You have helped us boost our events around STEM, British Science Week and our environmental interest. We know that the students found the event inspiring and we intend to get some feedback from the students – I will share any specific feedback or questions I receive about your career.  If you have any feedback you wish to share with us, it will help us to shape our future events.

In September 2023 we added another new vehicle to the fleet- the LEVC VN5 which is produced by British electric vehicle manufacturer London EV Company.

Generally, electric vehicles (EV’s) emit less greenhouse gases over their lifetime than conventional engine vehicles, making EV’s better for the environment.
